How bad are thing for Greene when I guy that just started playing the position of shortstop last year is in that spot over him when that is his "natural" position.

ST. LOUIS • Cardinals first baseman Allen Craig is not starting tonight because of pain in his chest near his ribs, and the team does not expect him to miss much time as he recovers, general manager John Mozeliak said.
Craig woke up Wednesday morning with renewed soreness in his chest stemming from his ribs. X-Rays taken of the area did not show any structural damage.
Mozeliak said Craig could be in the lineup on Thursday.
He is available tonight to pinch hit.
"It really dates back to when we were playing in Cincinnati and he went into the stands," Mozeliak said, referring to the Cardinals' series immediately after the All-Star Break. "All of this has really been blown out of proportion. There was a little bit of miscommunication about all of this. The good news is he can play."

It's okay guys. It gets better tomorrow with Bumgarner. Then Halladay on Friday. Then Lee on Saturday. And Hamels on Sunday. No worries.

Never understood why the pitcher gets yanked when he would have been out of the inning if the guys behind him make routine plays.

0-for-2 with two Ks and an error.
That boot was DFA stuff. Seriously. If Charlie Finley owned the Cardinals, there'd be a one-way ticket in Greene's locker right now.

Nomie thinks Buster Posey is an everyday player. How insightful.

So Boggs is the teams second best reliever behind Motte this year. WHy would Matheny plug him inot a game that had already gotten away from them? I know he might have needed alittle work but the guy had not allowed a run since July 12. Putting him in a game that was over isnt something that helps build on a positive year.
