Brantley is accusing Travis Wood of drilling poor Jay Bruce with a breaking pitch. I'm waiting for George Grande, who is the one guy in that entire throng of Reds' broadcasters who has a shred of common sense, to turn to Brantley and say: "Do you believe the stuff that comes out of your mouth?"

Are we seriously about to lose a game in which the Pirates dont have an RBI?
On the bright side, we've been begging for some consistency. Matheny ran the same lineup out there and it's about to produce the same result--one flipping run.

Playing Descalso, who went a week between hits before getting one last Sunday, and batting him sixth might be one of the most confusing things I've seen in a season that is nothing but confusion. Who did Schumaker piss off?!

So umm...is there any way Oquendo can become the new manager? Not saying that an Ozzie Guillen-like tantrum is the key to winning, and I like Matheny's even-keeled nature, but that was how it's done.

I like even keeled as well; but there are times when the manager needs to go out on the field and let his team know he has a heartbeat .(I like Matheny ,but I'm glad Oquendo did what he did as well ) It seems the strike zone became a little more sensible for both teams after that encounter .
