Oh they ran through an array of topics. Some were even about baseball. In the eighth inning, there was a graphic of the wild card standings and Idiot Sidekick couldn't figure out why it listed the Braves and Cardinals as tied when the Braves have a better record. But, fortunately, Thom was there to explain it to him. Then Thom suggested the home field for the wild card play-in game won't be decided by better record but "ALMOST CERTAINLY BY A COIN FLIP."
Then that spun into a discussion about how the NLDS format is still not fair to the division winner with the best record, which ought to get four home games in a 5-game series with the wild card team.
