    I was going to say the first out was a good sign because every 11-hopper the Nats have hit the last two nights has found a hole, and then Harper dumps that duck snort to left ...

    I have the game but am going out for beers. I suggest you do the same, Artie.

    Although my first reaction was to blame Holliday (that's the third glaring, nationally-televised drop I've seen from him), I think Jay's proximity might have distracted him. Scal's error was just, well... the kind of shit that happens to an emotionally crushed team with a scrub replacement at SS.

    Good idea! I actually would watch this, pain be damned, but am meeting some folks for those beers.

    My Isaac experience thus far is limited to the clouds that just rolled in. We may get some rain and a little wind this weekend. Hope our Midwestern crew is faring OK.

    I was on the West side of the by then tropical storm , and about 35 miles from the center of circulation . Less than 1/2 inch rain but enough wind to knock power out for awhile. Those folks on the East side got hammered ....

    Jay made a nice run to get over there but he either needs to call Holliday off or stay alittle further away from the play.  Maybe Holliday didnt call for it.  Either way, I was so pissed I quit watching.  Looks like good things started to happen.

    Glad I tuned back in.  The Cardinals actually played some good baseball.  I liked it when Craig and Freese grabbed a couple bases on Storen.  Any team should be able to do that at will.  Robinson had a great at bat against a pitcher he was over matched against to draw a walk and Motte came out throwing gas.

    We got some much needed rain yesterday and overnight, but it stopped this afternoon other than an occasional sprinkle. Nothing too bad. We didn't even get any high winds.

    As awful as things have gone this week, the Cardinals have a chance to make this a .500 road trip. I'm not betting on a win tomorrow, but there's a chance to salvage it.
