Man, this game is flying. One hour to play three innings.

My dinner nearly came back up on me when Horton referred to Shelby Miller as "Trever."

Note to the "Explore St. Louis" people: I love St. Louis. It's a nice city with nice people. But, like every other city on the planet, St. Louis falls short in a comparison to Venice.

We're probably not far from seeing him get an appearance.

Did he get a simulated win, or did Mark Prior take the decision?

Ted Simmons was with the Cardinals long enough to collect 1,700 hits??

Note to the booth: Kelly Shoppach isn't taking his time because he's trying to disrupt Garcia's rythem. Kelly Shoppach is taking his time because Kelly Shoppach is a self-absorbed jerk.

No help from the Phillies or Round Rock tonight, but the Rockies are about to finish off the Braves and the Padres scored in the top of the first ...

How does Holliday get hurt jogging to first base?????

Chambers exhibiting his major league skill. I wonder if Ron Roenicke thinks that run is unfair?

Why would they push Garcia into the 8th?

Good to see Jason Bay has finished his stint with the witness protection program.

He picked up the win.
Question: when Aroldis Chapman has a torn rotator cuff and he's pitching simulated games, does Dusty just have him go out there and throw 120 pitches?

I don't remember Chambers having a good arm.

I'm almost positive Matheny manages these games by shaking an 8-ball.
"Should I let Garcia go another with a five-run lead even though he has tears in his shoulder?"

No one on this board is going to care, but I categorically denounce the statement that Liverpool is "England's most storied club." This hackneyed program is just more of the Henry/Werner "branding" anyway.

No truth to the rumor the answer that came up on the Magic 8-ball was "Ask Johan Santana."

Is this an anti-Red Sox post?

CBS gametracker shows the run as Earned. Not sure I understand, since had Descalso made the fielder's choice there would have been two outs and thus no sac fly to follow.

Yes. To build arm strength. Half the people who show up to GABP these days go to take pictures of Chapman throwing 102 mph, and you don't want to disappoint them.
