Robinson over Chambers?

Robinson has a couple of hits off Dickey , why not just load up with lefties and try and bunt him to death .. Our A lineup did nothing against him earlier this year ...
Offline
I think Jay gets him, if he doesn't slip on wet grass ...

Berkman has no business starting period . Late inning bat to finish year ...

Floating strike zone today? The 2-2 to Davis looked pretty good.

Wainwright started off the mound after that pitch, thinking the same thing I guess ...

Just figured out it was a day game. Wainwrights line looks shakey but he bat is good.

Miller time ?

Matheny pulled out his 8-ball again.

Miller looked pretty dominant. It's the Mets, so whatever, but he showed great command.

Surprised Collins lifted Dickey ...

How long before Dusty Baker/Marty Brenneman/Reds fan start complaining that Matheny threw the "B" lineup at Dickey to deny Janey Cueto her Cy Young Award?

Marte brought his usual can of gasoline to the mound ..

The kid can hit a mitt. When the first two fastballs came in at 89 mph, I thought to myself "I've been waiting for this???" but after he settled in, he was impressive.

The Brennamans were on the radio together this afternoon. I listened for about 30 seconds, and that was long enough to hear them stumping for Cueto over Dickey, who Brennaman the Younger referred to as "R.J." Then Brennaman the Elder said the Cardinals were leading the Reds. The Reds weren't playing the Cardinals. They were playing the Phillies.

I'm glad you pointed that out. Marte didn't walk in a run or give up a 3-run homer to Ike Davis, but until he came in, I had a pretty good feeling about a Cardinals' comeback. Collins lifted Dickey for some unexplicable reason, they had just scored and had a little bit of momentum going. Then Marte immediately gives up a double and the air goes out of the room.
