9/11 GC

Be nice to get a lead tonight. Sideshow Bob's butt cheeks tend to tighten when he's trailing.

Re: 9/11 GC

I have no idea why Kozma is still playing when Jackson is superior with the glove. Ridiculous.

What a disaster of an inning.

Re: 9/11 GC

Well that was a lousy call. Two of them really. Of Wainwright's first six pitches, five were strikes.

Pretty terrible.

Why was Wainwright batting for himself down 3 in the 6th inning?

Re: 9/11 GC

Ah, Beltran. You are definitely running on fumes.

Re: 9/11 GC

Why would you guard the lines with two outs and a runner on third?

I pulled the chute on this one early, so I don't know at what point in the game to which you're referring, but in general I think the "no doubles defense" is a strategic fallacy, like the prevent defense in football.
If I recall correctly, Terry Collins is having his defense play as it normally would in no doubles situations this year. I would be interested to see an analysis of how that's worked out for the Mets.
