Phew. I was just coming here to post that.

Four up with six to play. Magic number is 3 to eliminate the Brewers. There's no way they can blow this right?

Re: 9/27 Off-day GC

Of course, a TTTIB game has to feature a stellar Brainnaman Cramp. Two outs, Bruce on first, 3-2 count on Navarro:
"AND THE QUESTION IS WILL BRUCE BE OFF WITH THE PITCH!?!?"

Amazing how someone can know so little about something they've been watching for so long.

Re: 9/27 Off-day GC

Takes a little bit of the sting out of losing to Houston last nite ...

Re: 9/27 Off-day GC

Need the Dodgers to keep pace with a loss tonight or they'll be only 3 back. In other news, Pittsburgh now needs to finish 5-1 to break that losing record streak.

Re: 9/27 Off-day GC

The Dodgers have never felt like a team that had a run in them.  They've pretty much just languished since assuming a quarter billion dollars worth of Boston's payroll.

Plus, they finish with the Giants.  It doesn't matter whether San Fran has anything to play for or not, there's enough hatred between those two teams to motivate the Giants to play those games hard.
