Goold reporting that the Cardinals LDS rotation will likely be:
Game 1- Wainwright
Game 2- Garcia
Game 3- Carpenter
Game 4- Lohse
Game 5- Wainwright
Garcia gets a start at home, Carpenter starts the first playoff game in Washington since before World War II.

I like it. Garcia at home isnt a bad idea.

Scrabble gets put on the roster over Freeman. I disagree with that move. Also it doesnt say what happen to Lynn. I assume he is in the pen.

Freeman is much more effective against righties, so the last spot probably came down to Freeman or Salas.

Weird that this will only be Wainwright's second career playoff start.

Dammit, Craig. You could be up 3-1 in the count.

What is it about Kurt fucking Suzuki?

It's going to be on Jon Jay to get something done............

Gio has been given a very favorable zone and he's still sucking. Wainwright can't buy a borderline call.

Washington really bailed Wainwright out.

Molina swinging on 3-0 against a guy that had thrown 69 pitches to get five outs is absurd. Very irresponsible.

Desmond did a good job fighting that off, but Wainwright has been very hittable thus far.

The shadows are really going to cause some havoc.

Why do they keep bailing Gio out on these 3-1 pitches out of the zone?

No clue what Kozma is doing there. The approach right now is pretty terrible.

Here come the Nationals...

Wainwright seems to be overthrowing his fastball. I consider it a small victory that he's through five with a lead because other than his curve, his pitches are sloppy, out of the zone and hittable.

'Sup with Gio? Is he getting squeezed, or has been all over the place all game long like he was in the fifth?

He's just all over the place. When he was in the zone the Cardinals couldn't touch him. Very, very odd.

Gotta get the bullpen warm here.
Edit: Looks like Lynn is warming.

Matheny is channeling his inner La Russa here.

Lynn got squeezed pretty tight there to Bernandina.

Does Lynn have the stones here to make a good pitch?
Edit: Yes. Yes, he does.
