    I'm not sure I agree with you guys that MM could have done much with the way Lynn melted down so quickly, but sending Skippy up to hit for Scrabble with two outs and no one on when the Giants have two lefties coming up is a head-scratcher.

    Yeah but then there is extra innings.  Matheny is never prepared for that.  I am fine with worry about tomorrow tomorrow but I will worry about it today to.  Carp isnt exactly in mid season form.

    I think you manage to play nine innings when you have the lead. They had yesterday off, and they have Tuesday off.
    But you have a point. I would have sent Scrabble out to face Blanco and Crawford in the sixth. If he gets them, he can go after Theriot. Then you can save Rosenthal for extras.

    Did Miller make the roster?  That would give them a long inning option that hopefully they won't need

    It looked like Yadi wanted the dipper, and Mujica wanted to air it out. I think he hit 95 with the pitch that got him the second K. I don't think I've seen him touch 95 before.

    Rec. When the camera angle was from center, he threw a couple of sloppy sliders that the Cardinals looked at. The one Freese took was a home run pitch.

    Boggs was nails and Buck just talked baout Miller being on the roster.  Funny half the bullpen was barely with the team during the year.  Speaking of Buck, he is easy to listen to.
