    Going to a MNF party with mainly Cub fans.  I will have to inform them that baseball season and football season do in fact overlap and have them flip it to the game a few times.

    Just tell them it's the LCS and that the Cubs are in year 10 of the Prior/Wood Dynasty.  That should get them to change the channel.

    Carpenter has been a better hitter this postseason than Jay, Holliday, Craig and Molina. Wow.

    When you hear old farts refer a "National League strike zone" the way it was when the two leagues had different umpiring crews, tonight's zone is what it was like. The NL zone was 3-6 inches lower than the AL zone.

    Yeah, I hate the Dodgers as well.

    I like how they're trying to pussify the game now. Maybe next time Scutaro won't camp out on the bag.

    McCarver is right, though. You're fair game if you're in front of the bag, but you're supposed to be OK if you're behind it. But this the LCS, not a regular season game in May. The primary factor is a little guy got wiped out by a big guy.

    Since I have to get up in less than six hours I don't think I'll be hanging around. I've found the Cards do better when I'm not watching anyway.
