I wonder what kind of deal Supp...I mean, Lohse gets.

I never remember pence saying anything or getting an attention with the Stros or Philly. Now he is like the face of the Gaints.

That was a beautiful strike three called on belt. Perfect placement by Boggs. Well done.

It's too bad the weather is so crappy. Isn't this about the time of day the shadows and glare make it impossible to hit?

I hope he gets a great deal from someone. He's been fabulous for us when healthy and he just outduelled Matt Cain over 5 2/3.

OMFG, how times have changed. An intentional walk for Descalso?

It's absolutely pouring about 10 miles west of the stadium. I think a delay is inevitable.
Now lightning.

Get some runs boys. WOuld have been nice if Freese could have scored on Kozma's hit.

The ump finally expanded the outside of the plate when our rookie was up with the bases loaded. Asshole.

Nice to get a run there. I dont think they could have turned two but I thought they had a chance to get the runner at second. They got to stop this soon. Looks pretty wet.

I bet this is going to be awhile.

They just announced a tornado warning for St. Charles County (the county west of St. Louis).

This removes Boggs from the game. With two lefties due up for the Gaints, Blanco and Crawford plus whoever they pull off the bench to hit in the pitchers spot Matheny has a couple options. He could go with Motte for a 6 out save being that the Cards are at the top of the lineup. I doubt he does that. He could go with Scrabble to face the lefties with Kelly warm in the pen. Id do that.

Radar look like this isnt going to take that long. Fox just said that the warning is over at 615.

I've never understood who makes the decision about whether the game will be called complete at this point, or whether it will be suspended and resumed from here. Anyone know?
In the regular season IKD but they just said games have to be completed no matter what in the playoffs.

We live about 15 miles west of the stadium and the rain has stopped and the sun just came out.

It looked like a thin fast moving line.
In the mean time I get to watch the Indiana governor debate. The fat guy with a beard from Survivor is running, Rupert. He actually speaks well considering. I hope the game start soon. The slight entertainment it provided is gone.

If Scrabble gets the two lefties, you could also go to Motte for a 4 out save and hold back Kelly in case something bad happens.
I wish I had more faith in Scrabble.

That is true Fors and likely the best option. I would still have Kelly getting warm out there. First sign of trouble from Scrabble and Id yank his chain. I dont know who the Gaints will use as a pinch hitter either.

I don't know the Giants bench that well. I think Xavier Nady platoons with Blanco, so that's one right handed option. And Ryan Theriot is on their bench.
Offline
Huff i assume will pinch hit. he is a leftie as well.

Yeah I dont know their bench either. They really dont have much of one. Both Huff and Nady have had poor years. Not sure how they end up on a playoff roster. I just figure they will go with Huff because he is a lefty and the Cardinals are weak in that area.

I hope the game comes back on pretty soon if for no other reason than I can stop watching Fox's terrible programming. This X Factor thing with Britney Spears judging a bunch of kids is ridiculous. Don't you have to have talent yourself to discern it in others?

How is the strike zone? I'm listening to the game, not watching it and can't tell if Lohse is struggling with control or if he's just not getting calls on the edges. Doesn't sound like he's going to get very deep in the game, but if he can get 6 innings, you turn it over to the bullpen and cross your fingers.
It's a really tight zone. When was the last time Lohse walked five guys in a game? OK, so they pitched around Posey twice, but he wasn't getting anything on the corners.
