I assume this is the Beltran laziness I've heard tell about?

The ball he trotted after while Belt was racing around the bases? Yeah, that's him. But if you need a 450-homer to make the score 11-4 in the bottom of the eighth, Carlos is your man.

Back strain.....or he was just looking sucky lately.

Both.  He sucked and the rest of the team had a strain from carrying him on their backs . . . or something like that.  . . . er, have another drink!

I don't care how much you root for a team, wearing a fuzzy orange panda on your head is just wrong.

There were some PBR talls left over from Friday?

Did they do this in WWII?  If not, then I am fucking sick of this shit in the 7th inning stretch.

Not the strangest hat of the night, however. That thing on top of her head looked like a spider that threw up.

I think it got revived after 9/11. Because people needed to be reminded god likes us best.

Re: Game 6 Gamecrap

Nice work by Miller, but he needs to get a third pitch before he goes into the rotation or his pitch count is going to be around 100 in the third inning.

I'm not sure I could handle being in the same dugout with Brian Wilson.

That "beard" would have to get the Elaine & George treatment.

Re: Game 6 Gamecrap

Well, I think we're going to look back and wonder "what if..." Lynn didn't swing with the bases loaded or throw the ball at the bag or if the Cardinals didn't swing at 15 pitches out of the zone that one cold night at Busch.

It was a thrilling, exhausting, frustrating ride, but methinks it ends tomorrow. Can't win em all.

HA!! That was quite some sight!  The word stumble added a little "something" too.

Re: Game 6 Gamecrap

Let's take solace in the odds that when Detroit lands in SF on Wednesday they are going to indulge in a major ass kicking. Unless the Giants can bunt 20 times at Cabrera and Fielder they might not score.

Re: Game 6 Gamecrap

Well ... here we go again.

Stop me if you've heard this before. Cardinals facing elimination and up against the wall. Season should be over! My god how many times have we said that these last two seasons?

Let's see where things are tonight. Wouldn't shock me in the least to see the Cardinals win, just because they aren't supposed to.

Re: Game 6 Gamecrap

Brian Jordan said this morning that the Cardinals went into Game 7 of the '96 NLCS knowing they were going to lose. They had no confidence in Donovan Osborne and thought the game was lost before they even took the field. This kind of came as a shock to me because you rarely hear professional athletes admit defeat from the start. Pretty surprising.

Re: Game 6 Gamecrap

The way Strauss is talking the Cardinals feel like they missed their chance and know what's coming.

Well in one game anything can happen.  It is hard to see it come to this after see them up 3-1.  Still they have one more chance.  Loshe has been there best pitcher all year.  He could earn him some big bucks tonight.

Fast forward to 11 years after the end of WWII and people had moved on to Elvis and Sputnik.  If NASCAR wants to be bat-shit crazy I guess I'd never know, but why baseball?

I know.  But rephrased when and where it was, it sounded like one of those prophecies from the Oracle at Delphi that could be taken multiple ways.
