I can't watch this. It's not basketball. It looks more like a bunch of tall guys playing rugby.

Only if the Mason-Dixon Line is in Canada. Nerlens Noel is from New Hampshire.

Actually, ESPN has hi hometown in Massachusetts. Another state in the Deep South.

Yep. Nerlins is from Everett, which has a Haitian neighborhood that is tolerated because its residents help the high school's football and basketball teams have better records. Except Nerlins never played for Everett High. The party line was that he was just too talented to play in a public school league, but there are still questions about his academic abilities and his age. Tilton ain't exactly Andover Academy. None of which seemed to matter to John Calipari.

So what you're saying is the Noels is from a part of the country populated by a bunch of white folks whose lives are made more meaningful by the success of a bunch of black kids, none of whom would ever be welcome at the dinner table or dating the white guy's daughter. Got it.

Let me guess, lots of of confederate flag bumper stickers among the Everett population, right?

I can't fathom how the won-lost percentage of a high school basketball team makes anyone else's life more meaningful, but yeah, you've got the gist.

Re: Signs of the Apocolypse

Hey, it was a wild guess. Sounded like something you'd hear from Tennessee.
