Would take an incredibly effort...

1898 of 2105

Adrian Peterson needs a seriously huge, but not unheard of running day against Green Bay (208 yards) to give him the NFL Single Season Rushing title, clipping Eric Dickerson.

Wonder if it happens?

He ran for 200 something the first time they played, I believe.

Nine yards short, but a yeoman effort that carried the Vikings to the playoffs.
Damn Houston Texans. The chances of the Patriots not winning the Super Bowl dropped by 25 percent.

It won't go into any record books, but I think Peterson's season, particularly after the Vikings lost Harvin and Peterson was basically their only offensive threat, was a much greater accomplishment than Calvin Johnson's record setting season.

I was amused listening to Troy Aikman say before almost every one of Minnesota's offensive plays yesterday some version of "The Vikings should give the ball to Adrian Peterson ..."
It's that kind of deep analysis that has made him such an insightful color commentator.

During yesterday's Rams/Seahawks game, Tim Ryan uttered this piece of analytical brilliance:

"If the Seahawks hold on and win, I think it'll be good for them."
