The greatest fraud in sports history was completed with the Patriots winning the Super Bowl. The NFL re-wrote the rules on the spot to help them defeat Oakland. In the Super Bowl, referees ignored countless penalties on the Patriots in a game that basically culminated in new rules written for how much contact defenders can make on receivers. When someone said the Patriots taped the Rams walk-through the day before, the NFL ordered the evidence to be destroyed.
I don't consider myself a tinfoil hat type person, but I fully believe that what happened in 2001 was pure manipulation. Belichick has basically admitted that he told his players to freely commit penalties because the league and Fox would not want the entire contest to be about flags.
It's a wonder that I still watch this shit.

Someone posted SB 36 to Youtube. Look at this first drive. Ernie Conwell is called for offensive pass interference even though he's nowhere near the ball. Then Ty Law comes in to tie up Torry Holt on a pass down field.

SB36 is the only one since I've been old enough to watch that I didn't watch, and I'll never watch, because one of the participating teams didn't belong there. I similarly boycotted the game against the Stealers the week after the Snow Job for the same reason.

Not only is it officiated like WWF, it's startin' to look like WWF. That was clearly offensive pass interference (Ravens possession jus before halftime, long bomb to the right sideline).
