- Michael Wacha continues to impress. 3 scoreless innings, 1 hit, 5 strikeouts and no walks
Lowlights:
- Ty Wigginton 0 for 3

If they said Adams, that has to be a mistake. Adams has a knee issue that has kept him from playing first, let alone second. They must be thinking of Carpenter.

Nah, it just doesn't always translate in print form.
Did Wacha look as good as his numbers?

Matt Adams is a pretty interesting problem to have.

Molina said Wacha could pitch in the majors right now.

There continues to be rumors that the Cardinals continue to have interest in a potential trade for Troy Tulowitzki. I'm skeptical, but if there's any truth to it, I could certainly see where Adams would be intriguing to an organization like Colorado where power is a big part of what they do and they need a first basemen.
But as I said, I think it's all BS.

i have not look into tulowitzki's contract but i thought it was kind of scary.

$10M this year, $16M in 2014, $20M from 2015-19, $14M in 2020. So 8 years, $140M left. Tulowitzki is 28 and will be 36 when the contract expires. He's played 150 games twice in 6 seasons and not since 2009.

Where did these guys spend the off-season? Camp Jenny Craig? Lynn looks like a different guy. Molina is so thin he's scary. Even Jay and Adams look like they've lost too many pounds. Not that I mind the commitment to getting in better shape, but Lynn's fastball didn't break 90 mph until the last pitch he threw. I know it's spring training and all, but he was touching 94 last year.

Hey, at least Keith Hernandez didn't fall asleep during the game. Ron Darling ought to know better, but the other two guys in that booth are clowns.

If Albert Pujols were still on the team I might agree, but on a team that has two corner outfielders in their mid-30s, a third baseman who just played his first full season and Allen Craig, who appears prone to tweaks, I don't think they are in any position to get rid of their only power-hitting infielder (in the minors).
My guess is that Adams is going to be needed at some point this season.

Strauss is pimping Shane Robinson this morning in an effort to be contrarian.

more then i think he is worth but it is probably fair. the issue that i have is that he is a ss. that is good today but what are the chances he finishes his career there.

the bad thing is that adamsis a first baseman only. the only way he helps in the outfield is if they shit craig and adams takes his spot at first. i am not a fan of craig in the outfield. i found it interesting that last year they woukd put carp at first and shift craig. that seems wierd.

You really hate Strauss don't you? I assume you're talking about his interview where Strauss' "pimping" consisted of answering a question about Robinson and concluded that Robinson had a shot at making the roster since the Cardinals announced Beltran wouldn't play CF.

For whatever reason, Craig has said he feels more comfortable in the outfield.

just looking at the two you would assume carp is a better outfielder then craig. idk that to be true. if this second base thing doesnt workout carp is going to have to play alittle outfield
