3/11 Gamecrap

Lynn starting. I'll give you all my worthless thoughts after he's done in the first.

Re: 3/11 Gamecrap

Induced some weak contact to Gardner

Gave up a hard grounder to Jeter

Gave up a double to Ichiro

Got a grounder to end the inning

Shane Robinson just doubled, but it was the kind of double you see in Wrigley where the ball gets knocked down in the gap by wind.

Now he steals third. Beltran might not have a job when he gets back from the WBC.

Kozma just stared at a 2-2 pitch down the middle.

Must have been low.
Honus was batting in the first inning? Either it was a good one for the Cardinals, or they've moved him up to his rightful place in the order.

Who's pitching for the Jankees? Never mind. It doesn't matter. Shane-o owns them all.

MLB.com had him throwing 27 pitches, 27 for strikes, through three.

Re: 3/11 Gamecrap

lynn pitched well or so it seems.  the only run scored in 4 innings was a hr and it is hard to judge that in florida.

Re: 3/11 Gamecrap

And the Cardinals were shutout for the 2nd consecutive day.

I know it's spring training and all the starters don't play at this point, but for some reason I doubt that will be the last time the Cardinals are shutout in back-to-back games.  They are so damn streaky.

Beltran, Molina and Holiday didn't play in either game, so I'm not going to worry too much. On the plus side, the Cardinals' starting pitchers in the last three games have allowed one run in 14 innings.
