Detroit gave Justin Verlander a 5 year, $140M extension.  He was already signed for 2013 and 2014 for $20M each.  The 5 years covers 2015 thru 2019 and has a vesting option for 2020.

The Giants signed Buster Posey to an 8 year, $159M deal that starts in 2014.

Lastly, the D'Backs gave Paul Goldschmidt a 5 year, $32M deal.  It may not seem like much, but Goldschmidt wasn't eligible for arbitration until after 2014.  The extension kicks in after this season and is $1M more than the Cardinals paid Allen Craig.
