There's aggressive and there's foolish. That was foolish.

Seriously, I feel like I'm watching a game from 2012.

I dont mind it. with two outs it woukd have been worth the risk to have descalso in scoring position. Got to push things when the team isnt hitting.

Salas sucks

So glad the Cardinals didn't go to Kelly or Rosenthal to try to keep it a 2 run game.

Well that's a good reason to go with Wigginton, Al. He was an All-Star three years ago.

Only one game, but tonight did nothing to change my opinion that this is probably a .500 team with serious defensive issues, low baseball IQ, questionable relief pitching and a lineup that is slow to make adjustments.
Beltran looks extremely old. I have no clue how they get 120 games from him.

Eric Hinske looks fit.

I think one of the arguments we all had from October - Novemeber was how much they would get from Furcal and Beltran. My hunch is that Beltran is the sort of player who would age quickly. Sorry to hear my guess might come true.

The thing that worries me the most was they didn't recognize how Kennedy was pitching them, and by the time they figured it out, it was too late.
I never figured the guy they'd miss the most tonight would be Mark McGwire.
Oh, and someone please buy Fernando Salas a 1-way bus ticket. I don't care about the destination.

Nomar spoke for nearly three hours without saying one thing that was remotely interesting, insightful or provocative. I don't think anyone has done that since Walter Mondale.
