Let's not waste this opportunity, Yadier.

That's at least the third time playing a corner outfielder in centerfield has cost TTTIB outs.

Re: Home Opener Gamecrap

I missed the pre-game crap. Did Johnny Cunto make the trip, or was there another mysterious illness in the family that required him to spend three days in Aruba ... er, the Dominican Republic?

Re: Home Opener Gamecrap

So someone in the dugout needs to tell the Cardinals to spit at Latos' breaking pitch because he hasn't come close to throwing it for a strike.

Re: Home Opener Gamecrap

Heisey seems to have been unaffected by his collision with Choo, thus casting further doubt on the Dense Korean Theory.

Great job by Holliday to rack up Tattoo's pitch count.

Re: Home Opener Gamecrap

I might be imagining it, but it seems like Garcia is hurt by weak contact more than any other pitcher.

Bad back or not, that was a terrible effort by Freese.

Why do Cardinals pitchers hit batters in key situations?

Re: Home Opener Gamecrap

Two things before I have to run off for supper:

1. The Reds are a really, really good team and the talent level between these two teams is glaring. Cincinnati has the better player everywhere on the diamond but catcher and left field. Latos was burned by his defense but otherwise pitched oustanding.

2. Motte made me nervous, but I think we're going to miss him.

Re: Home Opener Gamecrap

What the hell happened? I went into a meeting and the Cardinals were ahead, 3-2, and when I came out 90 minutes later it was 13-4.
You could have made a lot of money in Vegas betting the same team would be involved in 9-run innings on consecutive days.
