I'm going to pick up Kozma and bench Starlin Castro next week. Serves me right for drafting one of the Cubs.

Just one? I ended up with Rizzo and Soriano. Right now they've combined to hit .190

Oh, look, Westbrook can't find the plate.

Not the prettiest turn, but Carpenter did the job.

OK, that was just a sucky throw to second by Freese.

Are Cardinals hitters being instructed to swing early in counts?

The "sea of red" is probably more empty seats than fans today. I bet there isn't 20,000 actually in the stadium.

It's a 1-day Missouri statute. Westbrook just had a 5-pitch inning.

What are you talking about? It has taken Bailey 14 pitches to get 6 outs. That's over 2 per batter.

I had Marmol last year, but I dumped him. Maalox stock dived about five points that day.

Now Westbrook decides to nibble with the pitcher trying to give him an out.

Only the Astros, Cubs and White Sox have walked less than the Cardinals. That's great company to be in!

Marmol went for the minimum bid of $1 at thsi year's auction. The guy who got him laughed at the rest of us because he got a closer who would strike out close to 100 for only $1.
He's already had to use 1 of his 6 roster moves to replace Marmol.

According to Dusty, when slow white guys walk they just clog up the bases. We're just trying to keep the base paths open. Sound strategy.

I just can't figure out why Beltran is hacking away. He used to be one of the most patient hitters in the game.
C'mon, Kozma, make him throw you something better than that.

I thought about that quote last night when Kozma hit that double with Yadi on first. I think Kozma might have caught Yadi halfway between second and third.

"I just can't figure out why Beltran is hacking away."
He can't stand in the batter's box for more than a couple of pitches because his pinkie toe is sore.

Bailey deftly pitching around Westbrook to get to the top of the order. Let's see how this works out ...

Fors, mlb.com's Gameday feature has your building in the background. Why don't you wave and I'll see if I can see you?

No. But I think Todd Frazier's head might be in the way.
