The Cardinals don't have an African-American player so they're interviewing Jon Jay and making him tells us how important Jackie Robinson was for Cuban-Americans. LMAO!!!

According to Gary Bennett, James McDonald got in trouble by throwing too many pitches down the middle of the plate because it's a bad idea for pitchers to throw pitches down the middle of the plate. This is riveting analysis.

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Vin Scully just dropped a Sword of Damocles reference on the audience. Kind of a different level of analysis.

According to Bennett, Jon Jay is a good defensive centerfielder because he was mentored by Edmonds which would be insightful if Jay had ever gone to spring training while Edmonds was still a Cardinal.

Carl Crawford is wearing one white shoe, and one blue shoe tonight. Obviously in honor of Jackie Robinson, who wore neither two blue shoes nor two white shoes.

Scully is talking now about the first time Robinson received death threats during his major league career. Guess which city he was in?

Cardinals now 29th in the league in walks. If they hit .400 with RISP all season I think this could be a really special offense.
