4/22 Gamecrap

It'll be nice when this ridiculous road trip finally ends.

Miller's strike percentage is ridiculously high.

It's ridiculous that Molina gets charged with an error there.

It's ridiculous that the Cardinals haven't acquired Bud Norris to put the young punk in his place so he learns how to pitch in Memphis.

Did Bob Carpenter used to do play-by-play for the Cardinals, or is my memory ridiculously bad?

Well, I was eating when Molina got thrown out and I was hasty with my adjective, not realizing I already used it. I blame MTV and that stupid show "Ridiculousness."

Yes he did. He was as memorable as Wayne Hagin.

This is a ridiculously small crowd for a game between two contending teams.

Maybe everyone is too busy analyzing the Revis trade?

Re: 4/22 Gamecrap

Dan just said that there must be late movement on Miller's pitches, but I think he's just pulling that out of his ass because it's straight like an arrow.

He just said Adam LaRoche makes that play. That's from the Bill O'Reilly playbook. Take something that will never happen and say it woud have happened. "If FDR was alive, he'd be having sex with farm animals."

Carpenter seems to be annoyed that Molina keeps setting up on the outside corner. He's not challenging hitters like Dan Haren and his 8.00 ERA.

Let me try:

"If Shelby Miller had some movement on his pitches he could throw seven shutout innings against the Brewers with eight strikeouts."

What the fuck is wrong with Jon Jay?

I talked to Chad a little last night. He said on video Miller's fastball does look straight as an arrow. But having said that, he's done a complete 180 on Miller. Loves his attitude. Said he was really impressed the other night in Pittsburgh. Rather than get down when it became fairly obvious the offense wasn't goin to do much, Miller took charge and was determined to keep the game close. Chad said the maturity level from last year to this year is off the charts.

Re: 4/22 Gamecrap

Since Miller isn't allowed to shake I'm going to pin him throwing seven fastballs to Rendon on Molina.

It takes a real man to challenge hitters down the middle with sub-par stuff.

Have you asked him why Jon Jay is playing center field like the fat kid I was teammates with 16 years ago?

Re: 4/22 Gamecrap

Miller's fastball is better when it's in the 91-92 range. Any harder and it seems like he's overthrowing it.
