"If Shelby Miller had some movement on his pitches he could throw seven shutout innings against the Brewers with eight strikeouts."
It's not whether something has or hasn't happened, it's an abstract application of something that could never happen. Like saying "If Karl Marx was alive he'd be smoking Cuban cigars in the Oval Office with Obama, ergo Obama is a socialst." Repeat it long enough, and you eventually can drop the Karl Marx part and you end up with "Obama is a socialist."
In fairness to O'Reilly, Limbaugh may have invented the genre. O'Reilly's version is just louder, dumber and angrier.

I feel the RISP average is starting to come back to earth.

Since Miller isn't allowed to shake I'm going to pin him throwing seven fastballs to Rendon on Molina.
Rendon is a good htter. He's probably the best player from Rice since Berkman.

Dan just said that there must be late movement on Miller's pitches, but I think he's just pulling that out of his ass because it's straight like an arrow.
Carpenter seems to be annoyed that Molina keeps setting up on the outside corner. He's not challenging hitters like Dan Haren and his 8.00 ERA.It takes a real man to challenge hitters down the middle with sub-par stuff.
Brett Tomko made a career out of it.

Oh Jay, Jay, Jay...
Why is he trying to pull everything? Surely, one of the legion of hitting coaches and/or a veteran presence in the dugout ought to be advising him to go the other way?

In a perfect world, he would have brought in Scrabble here, but Scrabble is about as trustworthy as a Mumbai tour guide.

Great catch by Jay, but why was he positioned in the bleachers? Or was I seeing things?

Bet the fat kid on TK's team wouldn't have made that play.

Easiest ninth inning so far.

TTTIB has set a franchise record tonight by striking out at least 10 opposing hitters for the fifth straight game. Brennaman's mentally-retarded son and Idiot Sidekick are yammering about it like DiMaggio's hit streak has gone down.

Douche chills.
Fors, maybe you could ask Chad, but I wonder if the Cardinals did some tinkering with Mujica's splitter or are just instructing him to throw it more. He's throwing it nearly 60 percent of the time and it's good enough right now where he doesn't need any other pitch.

Seriously. Brennaman is still going on about this: "THE REDS are going to OBLITERATE their record for strikeouts by over SEVEN HUNDRED!!!"
And John Buck is on a pace to hit more than 50 home runs. Think that'll hold up?

"And John Buck is on a pace to hit more than 50 home runs. Think that'll hold up?" Shit, I better hurry up and grab him for my fantasy team.
