It's not whether something has or hasn't happened, it's an abstract application of something that could never happen. Like saying "If Karl Marx was alive he'd be smoking Cuban cigars in the Oval Office with Obama, ergo Obama is a socialst." Repeat it long enough, and you eventually can drop the Karl Marx part and you end up with "Obama is a socialist."
In fairness to O'Reilly, Limbaugh may have invented the genre. O'Reilly's version is just louder, dumber and angrier.

Dan just said that there must be late movement on Miller's pitches, but I think he's just pulling that out of his ass because it's straight like an arrow.
Carpenter seems to be annoyed that Molina keeps setting up on the outside corner. He's not challenging hitters like Dan Haren and his 8.00 ERA.It takes a real man to challenge hitters down the middle with sub-par stuff.
Brett Tomko made a career out of it.
