No lineups or anything like that yet. I'm watching Cubs/Reds. What a miserable day to be at Wrigley Field.

How does this differ from any other day?
As a Starlin Castro fantasy owner, when does he start playing like the alleged elite shortstop Cubs fans have been talking about since he came up?

When Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Geovanny Soto and the others start playing the alleged elite players they are?

This team gives away quite a few of ABs.

These guys can't run bases.

Those were 2 big runs. This game should be about 7-0.

He got caught in the middle. Once he stopped at 2nd, he should have stayed put.

Have they hung a "Help Wanted" sign in the bullpen?

I just got in. How did Lohse look?

Quality AB from Veteran Presence. At least he'll be able to give the guys in the dugout a timely scouting report on Gonzalez.

Holliday hit a home run that went 458-feet. Freese and Craig were lacing line drives off him. He was not that sharp.

Rec.
Great job by Maness.

Holy shit. That's it? The seventh and eighth innings usually last a lot longer than that.

If Axford starts to suck, wait until you hear these people boo.

Want to bet Salas throws more pitches than Martinez and Maness combined (assuming he makes it thru the inning)?

If he doesn't take care of business John Gast will be up tomorrow.

Salas keeps his job. For now.

Gast should come up anyway.

Four-game winning streak and now 18-11. If not for a handful of brutal bullpen performances this team would have the best record in the majors.

I hope someone has the balls to ask Lucroy why he's now 0 for 5 against a pitcher who throws straight as an arrow.

There's no way to not hit a 458 foot HR hard, but if the scoreboard wouldn't have been in the way, that ball lands in Lake Michigan.
