No way I'd have given Butler something to hit there.

There's some of that power TK's been looking for.

Lyons' curveball is a nice pitch.

My word. I can't tell if Michael Wacha or Jesus Christ is making his debut on Thursday. They're building this kid up to the point he's going to have to pitch a perfect game to make people happy.

How did Lyons have an ERA of nearly 5 at AAA?

Has Lyons pitched as well as his line?

Please tell me the Cardinals aren't wearing Good Humor man hats like the Royals.

Far be it to question the manager of the team with the BRIB, but Tyler Lyons ought to be able to get out Lough and Kottaras, even in the eighth inning. Rosenthal's arm is going to be as long as an elephant's trunk by September.

Yeah, I don't get it, but he refuses to get away from this pattern.
I'm just relieved Molina got a day off.

Better. He should have pitched around Butler with a RISP after he fell behind 2-0. After Butler's double he retired 17 in a row before Butler blooped a hit to right. His curveball reminded me a little of Zito's curve when Zito was good.

The Kentucky Tourism Board is running ads on the Reds' radio network.
"Come to Kentucky and get fucked up the ass by some guy named Elmer with only three teeth in his head ..."
There's also a special offer on a tour of all the illegal distilleries in the state.

Just a guess here, but I'd say there's some rain headed toward you folks in St. Louis later tonight ...

Are those separate tours or are they part of a package?

"when Zito was good."
Not sure my memory goes that far back.

Cardinals win in a crisp 2:10, give or take a couple of minutes. Very enjoyable.

There's a "Sodomy Weekend Special" that includes raw squirrel for dinner.

''We just have to manage expectations a little bit,'' Mozeliak said before Tuesday night's game in Kansas City.

When Miguel Tejada was his teammate. Whatever happened to that guy?
