Hrabosky said losing Chavez was a blow to the Diamondbacks. Maybe, but when was the last time Eric Chavez was healthy for an entire season?

2005(!)

Why is al acting like yadi getting tossed was some kind of crime. He should have been tossed. There is no reason to slam a helmet down like that. It shouldnt be allowed. I mean grow up.

Lynn needs to make that a double.

I'm watching hockey mostly. Did Yadi hit a triple?

Agreed. But he's also been suspended.

Seeing eye single past the ss. It was hit weak enough that holliday scored even tho the throw beat him. Yadi went to second on the throw home. then he took third on a wild pitch.

I am fine with this as well for two reasons. One, he has it coming. Two, at least he will get a day off.

That explains it. I can't imagine what it would take for Yadi to hit a triple. Maybe an outfielder breaking a leg?

Al: "In five years in the minors, Gregorious had a .271 average ... as a hitter."
Glad he clarified that. A .271 fielding percentage probably wouldn't have warranted a promotion to the major leagues.

Trevor Cahill looks like the grown up version of the kid from Bad Santa.

I was thinking the same thing. Next time they have a day game after a night game drop the suspension and sit him out.

It wouldn't bother me if Boston wants to repeat the first period here in the third.

Beltran may be hated by artie but he can rake.

By my count, the Cardinals are losing roughly $27 million between Carpenter, Westbrook and Furcal. Raises for Wainwright ($7M) and Molina ($1M) (and maybe Freese) eat some up of that up, but I see no reason why they shouldn't try and bring Beltran back next season. I feel like this is going down Edmonds, Carpenter and Berkman Road, but they would be better equipped to deal with a cratering or injured Beltran in 2014.

Adams isnt demanding much playing time right now.
Bernie had aartical throwing the idea of a beltran, tavares and holliday outfield. it is interesting.
Carp
Beltran
Craig
Holliday
Freese
Molina
Tavares
Kozma
You could flip 2 through 6 around anyway u want

They almost did. That was a butt-kicking.

Maybe, but I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of Westbrook coming back. They can't count on Garcia. 3/5s of your rotation will likely be Lynn, Miller and Wacha. I could see them wanting a veteran to eat innings. I could see them exercising that mutual option.
To your point about Beltran, unless the number is obscenely large, I definitely offer him the 1 year free agent tender. If he can sign elsewhere for multiple years, so be it, but I wouldn't mind having him for 1 year.

First of all, Taveras is hurt, and secondly, why would Bernie want to rush him to the majors when the major league team is playing so well right now? He's 21. Let him stay in Memphis and give him a shot in 2014.

Unfortunately, I entered the week 60 points out of first, but I've shaved 20 off of that lead in 2 games.

oh shit, ur going to send tk in a full blown rasmus fit.
i find the wong, carp situation interesting as well. Freese is ina groove right now. Hard to move carp over there. Carp is in the top three all around second baseman in the league right now.
