Kennedy looks hittable tonight. What happened to that guy who mowed down the Cardinals two months ago?

Mr. Peepers must be hitting about .800 against the Cardinals this year.

Kennedy is hittable, but at some point you have to score, not just get hits.

Here's a chance to break this bitch open.

Atta boy Craig.

Good to see Craig finally come up with a hit with runners on base.

That ball left the yard quickly.

I could be wrong, but 50 pitch innings usually aren't a good sign, are they?
Descalso!!!!!

Lets hope the manager can avoid using Mujica or Rosenthal tonight.

And now a HR from Miller. Kennedy is a punching bag tonight.

This is just smart managing by Matheny. he ordered five HR from the offense as a tactic so that he would not need to use anyone important in the pen.

Let's hope your right, but Maness is doing everything he can to put Rosenthal and Mujica back in play.

I love the line. Did he look as dominating as his line reads?

Miller hit a home run?!?

Geez-us The tying run is in the on-deck circle.

They had a 12-2 lead and couldn't avoid using Mujica? SMH.

No such luck. But a bigger story is that Yahoo box score credits Mujica with a save in a four run win. What's up?

I stopped watching, but according to Artie's post above, the tying run was on-deck. That satisfies the save rules so long as you didn't put the men on base.

It's a save if the tying run is in the hole.

Well, then credit Matheny with more brilliant managing, allowing a ten run to shrink to "save" dimensions, and then allowing Mujica to rachet up his personal statistics. Perhaps we should start calling Matheny "the genius"?
