MIAMI • Prized righthanded rookie Michael Wacha was optioned to Memphis this afternoon to make room for Cardinals righthander Jake Westbrook’s exit from the disabled list to pitch tonight against the Miami Marlins.
Wacha, the club’s No. 1 draft pick last year, was 1-0 with a 4.58 earned run average in three starts, gaining his first win on Tuesday in New York, working six innings and giving up two runs.

Tough to argue that isn't the right move. It's probably in both Wacha's and the club's best long term interests that he get a little more seasoning in AAA.

Yeah, I have no problem with this move.

Wacha is probably better then gast but i agree he needs more time in memphis. I am glad they called him up. It was pretty positive for wacha and i expect to see him again before the end of the season.
What is the scoop on carp. It is like he disappeared off the radar in the last week or so.

After all of our joking about Ankiel at 3rd, the team Bob's team is playing tonight has a left handed 3rd baseman. This could be interesting.

There's throwing error #1.
Offline
Errors #2 & 3 came while trying to backhand throws from the catcher while runners were stealing 3rd.

This is the "Jon Jay has too much movement at the plate .." portion of the Marlins' broadcast.

Tomorrow is "Faith And Family Day" at Marlins Park. The dancing whores will presumably be given the night off.

WTF, Koz? If you throw to third, Stanton is out by 30 feet.

Since when does Chad Qualls throw 97?

Holliday is lucky he didn't tear his knee apart.
