As critical as we've been of Matheny from time to time, Melvin has made some really weird decisions in this game. He just brought in a righty to face a lefty, after bringing in a lefty to face a righty earlier in the game. I suppose his excuse is his starting pitcher got hurt and he had to patch together the last five innings, but Melvin's management has been kind of bizarre.

Except for the ground ball that went through his legs. Never understand why guys look at their glove when they do that, like it's defective.

I agree. Id throw craig in there as well. There is no reason he cant start 2 times a week at the very least. It will be interesting how the roster shakes out long term.
