Brady as a flawed charactor? I am not a big fan of his but he doesnt seem evil. Just full of himself.
My thoughts on the jersey exchange is that kids dont know about the teams history and dont read the news. They root for the team there dad does. They pick a favorite player based on what they see on the field. I am glad young kids can get a jersey in exchange for their murder shirts. Some families cant afford to simply buy another jersey and i know kids can be very proud to wear them. I was pretty happy to get a scottie pippen jersey back in the day. Oh and warren moon. I would have been upset if they went to prison and i didnt have a jersey to wear anymore. Despite krafts intentions some good will come of it. I am not saying you thoughts are not valid tho.

"Brady as a flawed charactor?"
He dumped his pregnant actress girlfriend for a supermodel.
The rest of your post has some valid points, but the Patriots aren't taking back just kids' jerseys, they're also taking back adult-sized jerseys. I've seen these guys operate for 20 years, AP. You're ascribing too much goodwill to them. The Patriots want to pretend Aaron Hernandez never happened.

If i was them i would to. I am not giving them credit only saying at least some good will come of it. Id say every nfl teams has a few players they would like to forget happend. Maybe they were not stars like oj or herandez but none the less there likely isnt a single nfl team that doesnt have a ex or current player that should/could/is in prison. It is only going to get worst.

The difference being 30 other NFL organizations have never pretended to be anything but football teams. This sanctimonious "Patriot Way" nonsense has only been matched by the Cowboys and their "America's Team" bullshit in the '70s.

"Nobody hear cares about the pats"
Very few people here cared about the Pats until Jan. 19, 2002. They were getting 30,000 people at their games. Attendance was so bad they were half a heartbeat from moving to St. Louis. They were the 4th most popular out of the four professional teams in New England, and I'd probably guess that no other NFL team has been on the bottom of the popularity depth chart in its region since the beginning of the Super Bowl era.
I know only two Patriots' fans who I can safely say rooted for the team before 2001. One is my dentist, who has been a season-ticket holder since they built the original stadium Foxboro in 1970. The other is a guy I worked with. When the Patriots moved from the old stadium to the new stadium in 2002, he was one of the people who had his seats re-assigned from the 40-yard line to the 15-yard line, so he told Kraft to stick it and started rooting for the Giants. That's how Kraft treated the people who had been loyal to the Patriots through three decades of mostly horrible football.
If you ever happen to run into anyone who claims to be a Patriots' fan, ask them who the coach was before Belichick, or who the owner was before Kraft. I'll wager 19 out of 20 have no idea.

i dont know a single patriot fan.
I am not even a fan of football as a sport. It is just something to watch on sundays and to drink beer to on monday. The league itself is a joke and actions of the players are repulsive. I know it is a small fraction of the players but it is becoming to much. Who wants to suport a league full of killers, rapest, wife beaters and drugies?

Kraft says they were duped. I think we need a Peter King story about how classy the Pats are for the way its handled the situation.

That clinches it. Bob Kraft is the worst person in the world.
