Someone help me out here. We called up a catcher because Molina is hurt, but Molina is starting? If Molina is at risk of re-injuring his knee, don't play him. If his knee is fine, call up someone who can hit.

i agree. I am not happy molina is playing. I would have rested him till after the break. He needs to rest more then he is and this was a chance. Maybe by calling another catcher up they are wanting to use cruz in a utility role, ikd. Maybe the new catcher is taking over wiggingtons role as advisor.

I'm in Washington enjoying the lovely DC weather, but I watched the last few innings of last night's game on mlbtv. Everything was going fine until Blazek apparently decided he misses the bright lights of Memphis.

FWIW, when I talked to Chad last night he said Carpenter's stuff has been "electric" he also mentioned that Carpenter was going to throw today and if it went well he was going to start a rehab assignment. I guess it went well.
