I just don't feel quite as optimistic about this Carp returning thing, as I may have in the past ....

My expectations haven't changed at all, since I have none. As much as I'd love to see #29 on the mound in St. Louis again, I dread the notion that he's going to spontaneously combust like a Spinal Tap drummer.

So I take it there were no discolored body parts after his last outing?

At least none that are vital to pitching.

Is there anything else that can get discolored during a weekend in Springfield?

Springfield is less than an hour from Branson.  You can probably get quite a few things discolored in either location.

Really? I thought the most exciting thing that happens in Branson is when the Metamucil truck arrives at Walgreens.

Not at all. I'm glad Captain & Tennille's fans have a place they can see Captain & Tennille.

No need for Metamucil after reading that line.

Re: Comeback for Carp?

Per Derrick Goold via Twitter.  Carpenter's rehab assignment has been put on hold after Carpenter experienced numbness in his right hand following his latest start.

Again, I admire his guts, but he needs to be smart and stop this before he does something that permanently affects his quality of life after baseball.

Re: Comeback for Carp?

I still say it was reckless to bring him back as a starter.  The whole idea might have been wreckless but i think alittle caution might have helped.
