Looks like everyone missed the early start.
At least the Cards' bats remembered. 4-2 Cards headed to the bottom of 3

I also wanted to insert some perspective. If the Cards win today, they will be 20 games over and no more than 1.5 back with 32 of their remaining 52 games at home. Assuming Molina comes back healthy and on schedule, and the team in general avoids stepping on its collective manhood, things are far from hopeless.

Not being in first place is annoying.

I hate being in first. It makes me feel guilty and sad for the other teams. I'd rather be an also-ran. Hey... maybe I'm a closet Cub fan.

"Looks like everyone missed the early start."
My wife and I took a drive along the coast and then ate a lovely lunch,
Looks like I'm having a better day than Dusty.

Lancelot pitching into the eighth is a huge plus.

He's done like dinner now, though.

Matheny's usage of his pitchers is still confusing.

Great job getting through that inning. Nice game.

His team is traling 11-2 and Phillips is stil hot-dogging. Incredible.

Every Cards' win requires 13 runs these days, right? This one's still in doubt by that measure.

Even Tony Cruz hits one out of this Pony League park.
