The first baseman cut-off the throw home and Beltran was caught in a run down.
It depends on how confident you are that the runner on 2nd can score. When the first baseman cut-off the throw home, it guaranteed that the tying run scored. If there's any uncertainty in Descalso being able to score, then getting caught in the run-down isn't a bad play.
