Isn't it funny how Brady...

Isn't much better (perhaps worse) than Bradford when the talent around him is as bad as what the Rams have had for the past few years?

Re: Isn't it funny how Brady...

That is the story with most qbs.  If u put an awesome team around someone who can throw alittle they turn into a star.  Why do u think matt castle existed or the parade of qbs that came threw stl in their glory days.

I understand that AP, but I have to chuckle with the talking heads who have already annointed Brady the greatest QB who ever lived have to make themselves dizzy trying to spin a 19 for 39, 180 yard evening.

I'm sure it was all the receivers' fault.

exactly like kurt warner.  He was the best qb ever and a jesus loving ex bag boy.  I couldnt stand the all the over hyped greatest show on turf shit.  Then he goes to az and is average untill a decent team is put around him.  Just like matt castle did well when brady went down and then sucked when he went to the chiefs.  Matt castle, trent green, marc bulger are the same people.  Guys who made there name picking up where a better qb left off on good teams before fading into nothing.  That is why i enjoy rooting for the scrappy qbs that have to find ways to win instead of taking a 3 step drop and throwing to one of there 3 open wr.

Brady gives fellatio to farm animals. That's all I have to say about this subject.

Sounds like someone never got over the beat downs those Rams teams put on the Vikings.

Can you give an example of a "scrappy" QB that you do like. Very few QBs are any good without some talent around him. Except Brady, he does it all on his own.

please i am a viking fan.  Pretty used to getting beat down.  I watch football like i would watch wwe.  It is entertainment.

qb i like just off the top of my head.  Orton, plummer, the crap the vikings put on the field like moon, george, cuntingham, johnson, i like alex smith.....i guess id say i like to see the qb be carried by the team and that be the way media protrays it rather then qb carrying the team when that is clearly not the case.  it is fun to root for the underdog and rooting for tom brady or drew bress lacks excitment.

Re: Isn't it funny how Brady...

I think Larry Fitzgerald would disagree that Warner was just an average quarterback.

If you enjoy rooting for the underdog, I'm not sure how you didn't enjoy the Warner story.  He was the consummate underdog.  And the Greatest Show on Turf teams were certainly entertaining--very much like the Vikings teams around that same time frame.  Both teams scored about 500 points a year back when you could actually touch a receiver.  But I don't remember anyone ever claiming Warner was the greatest QB that ever lived, and it was certainly well documented that he had a ton of talent around him.

I certainly don't mask my disdain for the Patriots.  It's pretty convenient that few people ever mention that Brady/Belicheat haven't won a Super Bowl since their cheating was revealed.  IMO, it's fair to question whether Brady wins a Super Bowl without the help of illegal video, but every week we're subject to an on-air fellatio session regarding how great a QB Brady is.

I guess we view the underdog differently.  Drew Brees was supposed to too short to play in the NFL, and San Diego cast him aside for Crybaby Rivers.  I have no problem rooting for him.

Re: Isn't it funny how Brady...

I like to root for the shitter all around team i guess.  Hey, i am a viking fan.  Except for a couple of season they were usually the shitter team.

The rams got a ton of attention during the warner time frame.  It was exhausting if u were not a ram fan.  There was a ton of bangwagon jumpers.  Not that u are one.  Ur from the direct area.  Ive never rooted for the best team in the league either.  Unless u can argue the vikings were at one point.  I disliked manning when he was on the colts toward the end because of the attention he got.  Now he is okay because i like the storyline.  The greatest show on turf was annoying to me.  The name itself is annoying to me.  It was funner to root against them.  At the same time at least they were not thugs.

Re: Isn't it funny how Brady...

I was oblivious to sports media during the Greatest Show on Turf days, but I could definitely see where AP would be annoyed by the Rams. They were the talk of football and very cocky, especially Torry Holt. Obviously they could back it up, but I can see where people outside of St. Louis would've disliked them.

As for Brady, that was my exact thought when I was watching the Patriots struggle on Thursday.

Plus warner was like combining tebow and brady.  He was holy and good.  It induced vomitting.

Re: Isn't it funny how Brady...

QB's I like.

Drew Brees (Miami should have drafted him, and should have traded for him, and fkd that up both times, instead they drafted Jamar Fletcher...)

Peyton Manning. I used to hate this guy, but it's really difficult to hate him after what he came back from.

Tony Romo. Not for his quarterbacking skills, he put his pee-pee into Jessica Simpson. That's pretty cool imo.

Aaron Rodgers. He's a winner, and the way he handled the Favre fiasco was really exceptionally well done.

Ryan Tannehill. He's playing relatively well to be honest, considering he doesn't have a ton of talent around him either. Won't get a sniff of the publicity that Andrew Luck gets, but wins a lot of games.

I think my issue with most modern quarterbacks stems from having the extreme fortune of watching the class of 83 as a kid. It was hard to really value a great quarterback because EVERYONE seemed to have one.

Yeah, I could see that.

The two things I hated most about Warner was his constant chirping about Jesus and Brenda Warner.  Brenda Warner and her stupid flat top haircut might have been the most annoying personality in St. Louis sports in the early 2000's.

Well, not everyone.
