    Oswalt walks the leadoff batter in each of the first two innings and the Cardinals manage to bail him out both times. Don't like it. No sir; I don't like it one bit.

    Mujica's toast.  I tip my cap to him--the team isn't in 1st place if Mujica hadn't stabilized the bullpen earlier in the year--but he has nothing left at this point.

    The only question now is whether Matheny will acknowledge it, or keep running him out there to lose games.

    The Rockies are the cockiest last place team I've ever seen. If you don't swing at a pitch in the strike zone, the umpire can still call it a strike. It doesn't necessarily have to be a ball. That rule was written a long time ago. Learn it.
