Everyone except Matt Holliday must be gassed. This team is gasping down the stretch - again.

I would like it if Aramis Ramirez never plays another game against the Cardinals.

Ron Roeknicke must hate the Cardinals. A lot.

Crap. When is someone in this lineup going to come up with a clutch hit?

How tempting is it going to be to send out Rosey in the 9th if the Cardinals get the lead?

Matheny wont, but he should.

Big Heavy delivers....

Please don't mess this up.

Axford warming up? Did Siegrist get hit by a bus or something?

Is Matheny stupid or just stubborn?

Does it have to be one or the other?

Guess not. Bad combination.

Jeez-us. The only ball the Brewers have hit hard this inning was an out.

Gotta get up in the morning. I may or may not check the score at that time. Right now I feel like boycotting this team until that asshat MM is gone.

I can't take this drama.

And of course Martinez sets down the side in order in the 10th. Back pocket the whole way.

I feel like I've watched 453 innings of baseball in the past 30 hours.

They won this one in spite of the manager. Mujica needs to be shut down. He's lost 3 mph on his fastball and movement on his splitter. Matheny has at least 3 better options (Rosenthal, Siegrist and Axford), probably more.

The Brewers announcers mentioned this briefly, but if Roenicke doesn't have a statue playing second base, Carpenter's ground ball in the 10th is a double play.

Magic number for the division is 7. It's down to 2 to make the playoffs.

That splitter at 84 is a lot different than it is at 88. So he's throwing more fastballs, and even at his best his fastball is pedestrian. I'd like to think his shoulder is killing him and he's trying to tough it out. If that's what's going on, shut him down for the rest of the regular season and evaluate him a week from Monday, but MM can't keep rolling him out there.

Why do I have a growing suspicion the Reds are going to win the division, and the Cardinals and the Nashnils are going to end up in that wild card game?

That would be an epic choke job by Pittsburgh.
