Really good game in Oakland tonight. Probably the best of these playoffs so far.

I cant watch this nonsense. This game has been going for almost an hour and a half and theyre just starting the bottom of the third inning. And no one has scored yet.

Oakland fails once again. Too lazy to look it up, but when's the last time they made it past the first round?

If winning in the playoffs is as random as Billy Beane wants people to believe, shouldn't the A's randomly win one at some point?

In 2006, when they were beaten by...the Detroit Tigers. Second straight year that Verlander went bonkers on them in Game 5.

Two hours and 15 minutes and it's 1-0 with no outs in the top of the sixth.

I can't help but feel for the Tigers, losing the way they did. We've had our share of bullpen meltdowns but never as dramatic as blowing two shutdown starts on grand slams with a WS berth on the line.
I think the Cards get it done this time.

The Tigers spent a small fortune on their team, but came into the season with a rookie reliever who sucked through Spring training and lost his job. Their first response was to bring back Valverde, who not surprisingly sucked. Their next response was to trade for Houston's closer who (you're likely sensing a theme here) sucked.
I can't feel sorry for Detroit because they got exactly what they deserved based on the team they built.

The first person to give me shit this morning was the Pakistani guy at the convenience store where I buy my Gatorade on the way to Sunday pickup basketball.
This is going to be a pissa week and a half.

I almost typed "Tiger fans" but for some reason went with "Tigers". It's more their fans I meant to sympathize with.
