Re: Decisive NLDS Game 5 Crap

I swear I turned to my wife and said "Adams is going to go deep here."

That's a really good team the Cardinals just eliminated.

I say that every time Adams comes to the plate, but that's not really an important detail.

Yes it was, and I didn't really have any malice for them the entire series. Good up and down the lineup, and had enough pitching to beat us, but they couldn't win game 4.

I think I'm turning into a Braves fan (Not a literal, just the mindset). I used to be crazy when the Cardinals hit post-season, hate the teams we're playing against, etc etc.

I would say I've grown but I'm still that way in hockey, so I don't think that's it at all, I think I'm just getting accustomed to us being there. St. Louis as a whole is too, game one tickets for the LDS were going as cheap as 12.00 on the day of. Game 5 was only 55.00 day of.

Next is Los Angeles, and "mission 11" is 3 wins in, 8 to go. I have no idea really how we'll beat the Dodgers, but it should be a fun series to watch.

Re: Decisive NLDS Game 5 Crap

Missed the game completely other then text updating me of the score.  Fucking meth labs.  I am glad i get to see another game this year.  The cards are good.  I think they can win against anyone.  I also think theycan lose.  Nothing is going to come easy.  I am waiting for highlights from lastnight but mlbnetwork is acting like the whole pirates team died last nignt....hey guys there is a baseball game that was played.  Show some highlights.

Re: Decisive NLDS Game 5 Crap

Finally highlights.  Looks like the boys and crowd were alittle more lively last night.  You know this is a pretty good group of guys.  There is really nobody to dislike on this team.  For example freese has had off field issues but seems to have turned his life around. He says nothing but the right things.  Then u have miller who had alittle offfkeld stuff himself and caught a slight case of rasmusitis. Idk if that was valid or not but since he has been in stl he has been a model for how to act.

Re: Decisive NLDS Game 5 Crap

Does it make me a bad person if I can't help but think of a former Cardinal player and laugh when I read this quote?

“I was so happy to be there,” Waino said, speaking of the merry, jubilant on-field celebration that erupted after the game’s final out. “This is why I signed back here. There’s no amount of money worth what this city and this team means to me. I’m honored, I’m privileged, and I don’t deserve any of this.”
