Cardinals roster is unchanged. Personally, I would have replaced Mujica with Sam Freeman
Dodger replaced 2 LHP, Paco Rodriguez and Chris Capuano, with Edison Volquez and Carlos Marmol. Given the Cardinals struggles against lefties, that surprises me.

So going back to our favorite pitcher.
Kelly game one, Wacha game 2, Wainright game three.
You know what's coming right? Who's going in game 4? It almost has to be Miller or Lynn, and I think I know who everyone here would go with, but do you think there's a chance MM actually hands Lynn the ball again?

"but do you think there's a chance MM actually hands Lynn the ball again?"
All season the Cardinals have suggested that Miller had an innings limit, but they didn't intend to say what it was. I think the only way Lynn gets the ball is if there has been an organizational decision made that Miller won't start any more games.

Strauss seems to believe Miller won't start again, so I'm going with him and saying it's Lynn in Game 4.

Then I hope we win 1 of the first two, because if he starts Lynn in game 4, we're quite easily down 3-1 and looking at facing Grienke/Kershaw for 5/6.
EDIT: Correct games to 5/6 from 6/7. My math is bad on a friday.

Thinking more about this. A lot depends on the kids. Kelly goes up against Grienke, who's not untouchable, and on the road (3.21 ERA on the road and his WHIP is .400 higher on the road to a 1.345). I'm not saying we should expect a win, but we can get one there, and if we do, it puts a lot of pressure on LA.
If we don't, we're down 1-0 at home and going against Kershaw.
.... but if we can grab game one tonight, it puts a world of pressure on Kershaw because if he can't even us up, LA is down 2-0 and going against Wainright without their two best pitchers. It's not completely crazy for the Cardinals to beat Grienke, he's not Kershaw, and Kelly's been pretty strong. If that happens, I think game two is a little easier for us to compete in, just because there's so much more at stake (I could just be overthinking the crap out of this at this point).

That is dumb. Another start or two on extended rest isnt going to hurt him anymore then being the long man. Stupid as hell if true.

Nice recovery , if Dodgers keep swinging at those pitches ....

Kelly showed some guts there to get out of that. He is going to have to throw strikes tho. He took advantage of the dodgers being amped up. After the liner up the middle nothing came close to the plate.

Come on MCarp , break out here ...

Kelly has got his work cut out for him tonight. Tough lineup and grienke isnt going to let him pitch with a lead. Playoff baseball!

This crew is dry. They make this game seem slow.

Kelly doesn't have a clue where it's going once it leaves his hand.

Didnt look like freese was ready for the throw at third.
Kelly is toast. Never should have started imo. Miller is going to have to throw 70 pitches anyway.

They've nearly batted around twice , we're just now sending up our 7 th batter . 55 pitches for Kelly ,uhhh

This might be a good chance to remove a pitcher who has been terrible, but I'm not a manager.
