NLCS Game 3

I think the Dodgers get them tonight. I don't like the chances against Ryu and I don't know how often they can keep winning hitting .130

Re: NLCS Game 3

Yeah I gave jay a pass on the first because I don't think he reaches it. That one was bad though. He's got to take command there.

He could have made the first play but he was dawdling. He is killing this team defensively and if I were Chris Carpenter I'd pull him aside and tell him to pull his head out of his ass.

Nah it's not over yet. Have a little faith. The cardinals have already won two games against much tougher pitchers than I thought they would in this series.

They look befuddled. They needed Wainwright and the bullpen to deliver another shutout.

Re: NLCS Game 3

I felt like tonight was a must-win. I don't think the Cardinals can win a Lynn start, nor do I hold much hope for beating Greinke/Kershaw again. Maybe I'm being a pessimist, but the offense is lost. This looks like a replay of 2012. Just my opinion.

A must win is when the other team has 3 wins

True, but I also said that Game 5 of the 2012 NLCS was a must-win because the Cardinals wouldn't win the next two. ;)

Yeah TK, you're right. The Cardinals should just hop on a plane and head home. Dodgers in 3.

In fact, the Cardinals should just shut down all baseball operations and disband.

Re: NLCS Game 3

I'm at a loss to understand how the Cardinals get caught off base on so many fly balls. How does anyone justify breaking all-out for the next base on a ball hit in the air with less than two outs? If the idea is to rattle the fielder, don't you at least stay close enough to avoid getting doubled off? This has bugged me for some time.

Re: NLCS Game 3

Well I'm beginning to think we should win any game with Wacha. And if we can win another game with kelly or lynn... then we only need to win one with wacha or wainright. Let's see how this plays.

I don't think they should go that far.
