I saw Don's post, but I felt like a player of Chris Carpenter's stature deserves his own thread.

Thanks for all the great moments. I still think the Cardinals win the 2004 World Series if he doesn't get hurt. His 2005 season stacks up as one of the most dominant for a Cardinals' pitcher since Gibby's heyday, and of course we'll always have Game 5 of the 2011 NLDS.

Seriously hope he sticks around in some capacity. There's a lot these young pitchers can learn from him.
