They just never learn

So I'm sitting here watching a SportsCenter interview with Robinson Cano, and he's trying to tell Pedro Gomez that he didn't take the Seattle contract because of the money--it was about respect. The Yankees disrespected him by not offering him a 10 year deal. He wanted to emphasize, he's not greedy.

The only thing missing was "God told me to play for Seattle."

His first trip back to New York should be fun.

Dishonestly is a worst trait then greed.  It would almost be resfreshing forsomeone to say they are doing it for the money.  To me there is no shame in saying that you took the best deal to do the same work.

You mean like Prince Fielder? He made no qualms about leaving to get paid, and while it was sad that he wouldn't stay with Milwaukee, I ended up respecting him a lot more than I thought I would have... Just for the honesty.

I think I'm going to get some lotto tickets today for the office, and see if we can't get some "respect" ourselves.
