Latest from Ballpark Village

If I'm doing this correctly, I should be able to post periodic photo updates of the project.  Here's how it looked yesterday.

OK, so I didn't exactly post periodically.  Here's the latest photo.  It's due to open in a couple of weeks.

Wow, that is kind of cool.  I lost track.  What is all going to be there of normal interest?  Hopefully just not a bunch of over priced tshirts.

Call me old school, but I liked the version when someone wrote "Cubs Suck" in the snow the best.

Mostly bars/restaurants. There's a Budweiser Brew House. A bar associated with the Pro Bull Riding circuit (complete with mechanical bull), a Cardinals bar, the Cardinals Hall of Fame and a Sushi restaurant among the things I can think of off the top of my head.

I never thought BPV would actually materialize.

That's because the good stuff in St. Louis is just outside of downtown. It's still in the city proper, though. For example, the Soulard and Benton Park neighborhoods have some great restaurants, as do some of the older neighborhoods in South City. The Central West End and Forest Park are good hangouts. If you enjoy St. Patrick's Day, there's the Dogtown neighborhood.

Frankly, I like that Downtown St. Louis isn't bustling. If they took all of the fun restaurants and theaters, it would be a mess of traffic, which is my greatest enemy.

None taken.  If I didn't work downtown, I wouldn't come here for anything other than a sporting event either.

Imo it would be nice to have something else to do downtown.  U go see the arch and that is it.  The city muesum sucks gaint balls, imo.  A 6'2" 220lb man chasing kids through wielded rebar on a 90 degree day blows.  The cardinals hall of fame would be cool.  I do see your point tho.  I hate traffic more then you.

The roof top seating is cool but to cub lkke for me to endorse
