When there was one out an Peralta was coming to the plate, I was already thinking the Cardinals would need to come up with a 2-out hit.

This team is just gross right now. How they never took Torres deep when he threw about five or six hangers is beyond me.

It wasnt close. I think you have to trust ur best hitter to sac him in.

Yadi wasn't on deck .,.
SNY didn't show any replays except for the tag at the plate, but I have to think Carpenter read it wrong. Even with the wind pushing the ball back toward center, Neiwenhaus (sp?) wasn't going to catch it because it was tailing off a left-handed bat.
