To watch the game or work in the yard and garden?

These Cardinals are just gassed. They need to get home and sleep in their own beds.
I'd like to know how many teams have played 17 of their first 23 games of a season on the road. I bet it hasn't happened very often since MLB stopped using trains as the primary means of travel.

This is why I find it difficult to get too worked up about what I've seen on the field. It certainly hasn't been pretty, but this schedule is fucking retarded.
I honestly don't remember ever seeing an April with this many games on the schedule (road or home). Usually, there are plenty of off-days. This year they had 2.

The team does look dead. It is painfull to watch. A fat slob like colon is making them look horrible.

Speaking of fat slobs, how about Abreu? You could tie him and Colon to opposite ends of a raft and have yourself a bouyant pontoon.

I think I would get bored pitching the way Colon does. I was listening to the radio broadcast in the car and every pitch was "fastball ... outside corner ..."

All by design. I remember last season they had (I think) 23 of their first 34 on the road. It helps later in the year, but they should probably not put an 11-game road trip in the middle of April. I know they want to maximize ticket sales, but this has been overkill. They've spent the past 10 weeks in Jupiter, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Washington and New York.

This seems to be unraveling for Lynn pretty quickly ...
