Welcome to the ballclub, Mr. Bourjos.

Hey Atlanta, how's that J.D. Drew trade working out for you?

When does Ellis get optioned?

Frankly, I'd expected a lot more of these 7-1 games by now.

After this upcoming 3 game set in Pittsburgh the Cardinals play 18 of 21 at home. We'll know everything there is to know about the team by the time that stretch is over.

To echo something TK has been saying, Bourjos needs to play. We've seen Jon Jay. He's a nice 4th outfielder, but he isn't a starter. If the Cardinals could withstand Pete Kozma and his "defense" last season, they can withstand Bourjos. If they'd just let him play it's a near certainty he'll be better than Kozma was.
And if they're not going to play Bourjos, then just call up Taveras and quit dicking around.

Yeah, I can't prove it or anything, but I believe his speed distracted Simmons the other night that led to the missed double play opportunity. He is a real game changer on the base paths, and I also believe he can hit enough.

Absolutely, and absolutely. Especially with the statues they have on either side of him in the outfield. Speed changes so many dynamics of a game. The Braves' announcers were going batshit last night even at the prospect of him laying down a bunt to move a runner over. And those were the announcers. I can't imagine what was going on in the dugout and on the field.

I cant disagree with playig bourjos over jay but i also see why jay has got so much playing time. Jay was hitting over .300 and bourjos was hitting under .200. Plus the team wasnt hitting. It is hard to stick with a first year player who isnt hitting. Jay isnt great but he is a known Commodity.
The kozma situation isnt really the same cause he didnt have a decent hitter who could play the position on the bench.

Also, jay has played himself down to his norm and bourjos is playing himself up to his. I think from here forward jay will see a reduction in time.
