Does anyone else have a guy who rides around in a pickup truck the night before trash day and goes through your garbage? He's in front of my house right now, but all he's going to find in my trash is cat poop and pizza boxes.

Yes! It's something we've come to rely on in these parts. Stuff that Waste Management won't take (old TVs, etc) gets picked if you put it out at least a few hours before pickup.

Our guy seems to be after scrap metal. The old TVs just sit there. I don;t know if this is a fussy Massachusetts thing or it's more global, but you have to pay something like $10 or $20 at the dump to chuck anything with a cathode ray tube. And our trash hauler won't take them.
